Herschel Walker, the former New England Patriots star, has cancelled a fundraiser for the United States Senate campaign amid vaccine-needle swastika imagery
Herschel Walker's Senate campaign took a hit when the Republican was forced to cancel an upcoming fundraiser in the United States. The decision was made after the fundraiser host was seen featuring an image that used a swastika made out of sedatives on her Twitter profile, according to The Washington Post.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bettina Sofia Viviano-Langlais, a Republican donor, was due to host statewide walker's benefit event this weekend in Parker, Texas, which first reported Wednesday morning that her Twitter profile picture resembled the symbol. Activists across the country who oppose coronavirus vaccination laws and compare them to Nazi treatment of the Jews have co-opted that specific rendering of a vaccine-needle swastika.
Walkers campaign attempted to distance itself from the donor.
Herschel unites anti-semitism and bigotry of all kinds. Herschel is a firm supporter of Israel and the Jewish community and opposes hatred and bigotry of all kinds. Despite the fact that the apparent intention behind the graphic was to condemn government vaccination mandates, the symbol used is offensive and does not adequately reflect Herschel Walker or his campaigns values.

Walker opted to seek the Georgia Senate seat held by the Rev. Raphael Warnock in August. Walker was one of the people who convinced him to run for president, former President Donald Trump. Walker began his professional football career with Trump's New Jersey Generals in the now-defunct USFL.
He was a great football player and will be an even better Senator if that is possible. He has my entire and total support! Walker is a friend, he is also america's number one patriot, and if elected, we will have senate elections. He embodies America First and Georgias winning spirit, he added.
Walker has embraced Trumps argument that the 2020 election was manipulated.
Play by the rules... the American people demand ONLY LEGAL BALLOTS be counted. Anyone who alters this election should be prosecuted. Americas Democracy is better than this... Republican or Democrat. America is unique in that it was created and is the greatest nation in the world, thanks to freedom and the right to vote legally. Anyone who undermines our election should be prosecuted. We must fight for utmost sanctity.
Walker played 12 seasons in the NFL, including three with the Philadelphia Eagles (1992-1994) and one with New York Giants (1995). Dallas' three Super Bowl victories in the 1990s were founded on his trade from the Cowboys to the Minnesota Vikings, which in 1989 provided the foundation for the team's first Super bowl victory.
