Jon Gruden Will Be Removed From Madden 22 And Replaced With A Generic Coach In Madness 22
Jon Gruden recently resigned from the Las Vegas Raiders, but it had nothing to do with the RaiDERs performance on the football field. Gruden had sent a series of emails that contained homophobic, racist, and alarming remarks about players of the NFL, NFLPA, etc. Consequently, anyone associated with Gruden is quickly removing him.
One of them is the EA Sports Madden series. Jon Gruden is currently the Raiders' head coach for the most recent game, Madden 22, and is the team's leading scorer. Gruden would not only be removed as the Raiders head coach, but would be completely removed from the game today, according to EA Sports. He will be replaced by a generic likeness.
This isnt the first time EA has responded quickly in a situation like this. When the Washington Football Team announced their intention to change their nickname from a name offensive to Native Americans, EA was quick to announce plans to do the same in Madden 21.
The change will most likely take form of an upcoming patch that will provide the update to the game and remove Gruden from the Las Vegas sidelines, and it's unlikely that Grun will ever appear in the Madden games, on an NFL sideline, or in an NHL TV booth again.
