In game one of the WNBA Finals, the Chicago Sky cruised through a hot second quarter to beat the Dallas Mavericks. In game two of the best-of-five series on Wednesday, they aim to take control of Phoenix Mercury.

The Skys offense that gave the league's best team, the Connecticut Sun, a snicker during the semifinals continued into the final game on Sunday. The Sky trailed 46-35 after the first quarter, but then went on a 17-0 run to go 46-40 ahead in the second quarter. They continued to push throughout the third quarter, adding 28 more points to the scoreboard, before settling things down defensively in the fourth to seal the game one victory, 91-77, the final score.

Kahleah Copperhad herself a day, leading the floor with 21 points, earning severance with 10 rebounds as well. Courtney Vandersloot recorded her first double-double of the playoffs, scoring 12 points and assisting on 11 baskets in the victory. In all, six Sky players scored over 10 points, with Allie Quigley scoring 18.

Phoenix continues to battle on the home court. After going 7-9 at the Footprint Center during the regular season, the Mercury are now 1-2 at home in the playoffs. Brittney Griner will need more support if she wants to reverse that trend on Wednesday. Griner has led the team throughout the postseason, offensively, and led Mercury with 20 points in game one.
