Man in prison for 2020 fatal shooting outside of Grand Rapids liquor store
GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A 27-year-old Grand Rapids man has been sentenced to 27 years in prison for a fatal shooting in early 2020 outside of st. Patrick's liquor store.
Javonte Davon Robinson was sentenced on Tuesday, Oct. 12 in Kent Count Circuit Court.
Tony Lamarr Stewart was shot and killed in the parking lot of Miss Tracys Market, 1043 Franklin Street SE, on Jan. 3, 2020, police said.
Stewart was seriously injured and died the following day.
Robinson in August pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and felony firearm.
He was sentenced Tuesday to 25 years in prison for the crime and two years extra for possession of weapons.
