Joe Gilgun is a single man

On October 6, Sky One's Brassic returned for season three, and, from the looks of things, fans of the show were not disappointed. Brassic is already filming its fourth season, with the lead man and co-creator Joe Gilgun set to reprise his role as petty criminal Vinnie. Gilgun is no stranger to gritty British comedies, and youll most likely recognize him from Misfits or This Is England. Gilgun has wowed the nation with his on-screen performances, but what about his off- screen existence? Is he dating, for example? Hes established himself as the go-to guy for edgy northern comedy, but does he have a special someone supporting him from the sidelines?

Althought Gilgun certainly has a loyal following and numerous romantic offers from fans ("There is just something about Joe Gilgu, maaaan I fancy him so much," one tweeted recently, while another said, "Joe Gilgar, call me xo"), it appears that his current relationship status is single.

Gilgun has kept his private life off the spotlight, including when it comes to relationships. In 2016, he spoke to Vice about his first ever girlfriend, saying if a relationship ended they would have stayed together for noble reasons. However, he deliberately avoided naming anyone.

Vicky McClure, Gilguns This Is England co-star and former girlfriend, may have been the reference. The couple first met on set in 2006 and began dating. Their relationship timeline isn't entirely clear, but they began their relationship in 2006. They split up, but remained close friends until they split. Gilgun stated in an interview with the Independent in 2015: "Our friendship is stronger [because of our previous relationship]. Vick is the one who has the ability to talk to me about anything and shell always understand me. Gilgun was a kind, funny, honest, salt of the earth guy, McClure responded.

Gilguns off-screen love life is unclear, despite that. Fans are still holding out for Vinnie, played by Michelle Keegan, to get together with Erin, who is played in Brassic. Its been a classic will-they-won't-he storyline thatll keep fans guessing. Vinnie and Erin are getting as much shipping as we are, and the good news is that Keegan is sending them as well. Erin and Vinnie should be reunited in the end, she told the Radio Times recently.
