Best smartwatch for 2021 Best watch for smart watches for 2020 Best 2022 smart watch 20 21 Best Smartwatch 2020 Best smartphone for 21 21
When it comes to choosing the best smartwatch for you, consider many variables -- especially since it will likely be strapped to your wrist 24/7. Among those factors are whether you want a watch with an emphasis on fitness (sleep tracking, activity tracking and health tracking), or other advanced features (such as working with third-party apps), your preferred watch shape face and whether or not you need an Android or iOS operating system.
But, if you look at it from the outside, you're only scratching the surface. From heart rate monitoring and activity tracking to GPS tracking and smart notifications, a smartwatch should be able to offer everything. Several smartwatches can be used for contactless payment. They should work seamlessly with smartphone notifications. Regardless of whether you're an iOS or Android user, you should be able to make the most of your wearable device.
We've compiled a list of the best smartwatches based on function, price, and compatibility to help you decide which one is right for you.

Apple Watch Series 6 is a series of Apple watches that are released on the Apple watch.
The Apple Watch Series 6 isn't the most expensive smartwatch on our best smart watch list, but it's the gold standard when it comes to smart watches. It has all the smartwatch features we liked about its predecessors, as well as a few new features, such as an improved always-on display and swivel function. It's now the only Apple smartwatch with an electrocardiogram (also known as ECG or EKG) app.
The biggest drawbacks to the Apple Watch are that it's only iPhone-compatible, and it has a shorter battery life than most of its competitors.

Apple Watch SE is a smartwatch for Apple.
If you've never owned an Apple Watch, this is the one to get. The Apple Watch SE is a cheaper alternative to the Series 6, offering dozens of the same great features, as well as extending battery life. Aside from the extra health sensors (ECG and SpO2), the most noticeable difference between the two is that the SE doesn't have an always-on display watch face. If you've never had this capability, you won't regret it.

Fitbit Versa 3 is a Fit Bit 3 running device that supports Fitbbit.
The Versa 3 is compatible with both iOS and Android phones, and you may choose between Alexa or Google Assistant as your go-to voice assistant. It doesn't have all the apps and smart features of its competitors, but it's a well-rounded smartwatch with plenty of health and fitness features to keep you on track, such as onboard GPS and live heart rate zone notifications. It has the most advanced sleep tracker on this list and even gives you a breakdown of your SpO2 and body temperature data overnight (Fitbit Premium users). I spent about four full days (and nights) using the screen always-on and got about a month of battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is a Samsung smartphone watch that has an active 2 display.
The Active 2 has nearly all of the same functions as the new Galaxy Watch 3, including an ECG app and fall detection, but for about half the price. Its watchface isn't as flashy as the Watch 3 wearable with its physical rotating bezel and thicker frame, but it's less bulky and more comfortable to wear at night and during workouts. The Active 2 handles calls, texts, and app notifications, as well as all the basic sports tracking fitness features you'll need. You can also get an LTE version of this smartwatch, which also functions as an Android smartphone and can make calls on the go without your Android phone nearby.

Garmin Venu Sq SQ S Q S sq S S
If you're searching for a fitness-focused watch that works with both Android and iOS, the Garmin Venu Sq is the watch to buy. It has a built-in GPS, lots of workout fitness tracking options to choose from, and plenty of information about your workout such as heart rate zones and running dynamics in the mobile app.
It also functions as a health tracker, with high and low heart rate alerts, specialized sleep analysis, and SpO2 tracking. This smartwatch measures blood oxygen levels on demand, or automatically throughout the day and night, just like the latest Apple Watch Series 6, but for half the price. But, in terms of design, you do make compromises. The watch has a plastic frame, and the screen isn't as large or vibrant as the watch face on some of the other watches on the list.

Amazfit Bip S is a bicycle strapped to the A+fit System.
If you're looking for more value for money, you won't find a better smartwatch than the Amazfit Bip S. This $60 smart watch is compatible with both Android and iOS wearable devices and completes most of the boxes when it comes to features like heart rate sensor, always-on display, built-in GPS tracking, and the longest battery life of any device on this list. You can get up to 40 days of use on a charge, or about two weeks of intense usage with the GPS on and brightness up (a time that's still above and beyond the rest).
It may have to make a few sacrifices in aesthetics, as it's made of plastic and the screen isn't as bright or responsive as the ones on the Galaxy and Apple Watch.
