David Fincher's Mystery Netflix Project Probably Isn't What You Were Looking For, But It Still Sounds Cool
Yesterday, Netflix decided to bring some chaos to our lives: "We're in a state of panic."
Netflix Film tweeted, along with the eyes emoji, that Something special will happen tomorrow from David Fincher..." What might it be? A final Mindhunter film? A spin-off of The Social Network about Parler? Fincher announcing hes the Zodiac Killer? The Mank Cut?? All good guesses (wait, no, theyre terrible guesseles), but nope:
According to the tweet, Voir is a new documentary series of visual essays celebrating cinema, from the mind of one of films modern masters. The video calls the project a collection of visual essays... for the enjoyment of cinema. According to many of the comments, Voir is probably going to be excellent because David Fincher is a great director who makes great films (sorry, cinema), but that is not what people were expecting.
Other respondents were more positive. Im going to be counting down the days until I can binge this. As a film buff (I could have spent the entire week in the new @TheAcademy Museum) this is what Ill be obsessing over this month. Its amazing to see Netflix embrace the classics, filmmaker Aaron Morgan tweeted, while MTV news correspondent Josh Horowitz noted, It could have been David Fincher 'Ernie Goes To Camp' and Id be in... Great, now I want to watch David fincher make an Ernest movie. Oh well. This will work.
