Phoebe Bridgers Takes Us To Outer Space For A Performance Of Moon Song On Kimmel TV

Phoebe Bridgers is finally able to take her album Punisher on the road about a year and half after the release of her debut album. Shes been performing across the country at venues and festivals, including ACL, which cut the sound during her set. Though shes still on tour, the singer was able to stop by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to give an alternate performance of her Punisher track Moon Song.

Bridgers chose not to wear her signature skeleton costume, which she has worn in several of her performances. Instead, the singer fully embraced the Moon Song aesthetic by making the set appear like a space station on the moon. She and her backup musician were dressed in reflective NASA suits and sat in front of fake space ships.

Bridgers was accompanied by just one other musician, violinist Rob Moose, who contributed to several songs on Punisher. With her room-filling vocals, Bridgers made up for what she missed in instruments. The singer sung a tender reflection on Mooses complicated but meaningful relationship, aided by the violin's frantic chords.
