Chloe Bailey Gives Her Have Mercy Performance For Fallon A Classical Twist
Youve probably heard the phrase from ashy to classy. Chloe Bailey took her debut pop-R&B anthem, Have Mercy, last night on The Tonight Show and went from classy to ass-cheeks. The multitalented singer presented the trap-leaning jam as a classical sonata at first, draped in dazzling white gown with tan. She yanked off the gown's train, showing off her subject, and walked over to her drum machine, where she rebuilt the Have Mercy beat from the pre-loaded samples.
From there, she displayed a stunning display of vocals and other oh, other, unused - assets as the strings complemented the thumping drums, as well as New Orleans bounce samples that make up the compelling solo song. Chloe was not too frisky as it was television, but the suggestive turns and dips she made were enough to entice some enthusiastic responses from the crowd.
Since debuting Have Mercy last month, Chloe has performed the song at the MTV VMAs and seen it covered by Prairie View A&M Universitys marching band, indicating its rising popularity. The singer said her solo debut album is 90 percent done, so its possible well hear more from her in the near future.
