Minot Fire Station in Scituates Minom Fire station will be auctioned off at auction

The Minot Fire Station will be auctioned off as is, with all faults at a public auction on Oct. 26 in Scituate.

The station was built in 1925, after the former one burned in 1924, and it was decommissioned in 1992. In 2020, Scituate Town Meeting approved the sale of the property, with the proceeds going to decrease the cost of a new senior center.

The station has 1,756 square feet and is located on an 8,000-square-foot lot just down the street from North Scituate ocean beach and overlooking Mushquashicut Pond. The assessed value is $724,000.

The auction will begin at 11 a.m., according to JJManning Auctioneers, and in its brochure, the last and highest bidder will be the winning biddeer, regardless of price.
