U.S. condemns Syria's cross-border attack on Turkey, which is condemned by the United States
The State Department said on Tuesday that the United States has condemned a Syrian cross-border attack on Turkey, citing the department's statement. The announcement comes october 12, just ten days after Turkish president Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey was determined to eliminate threats coming from northern Syria.
Erdogan said on Monday that an YPG attack on two Turkish police officers that killed two Kurds was "the final straw."
Two Turkish police officers were killed on Sunday in a guided missile attack in northern Syria's Azaz region, which Turkey said was carried out by the YPG.
