UAE approves budget for 290 billion dirhams to 2026 - Tweet
State news agency (WAM) reported on twitter that the United Arab Emirates' cabinet on Tuesday approved federal spending of 290 billion dirhams ($78.96 billion) up until 2026.
The cabinet, headed by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE's prime minister and ruler of Dubai, approved the 2022 budget, which calls for 58.931 billion dirhams ($16.05 billion).
The largest part of the 2022 budget was allocated to the development and social benefits sector at 41.2%, while the infrastructure and financial resources sector's share was 3.8%, WAM said.
Suhail al-Mazrouei, the minister of energy and infrastructure, was appointed as the cabinet's representative for infrastructure and housing.
