USS Porter Entered Batumi
The American missile destroyer Porter entered the Georgian port of Batumi (Adjara region) on Tuesday, according to the message spread by the press service of the US Embassy in Tbilisi.
"We are happy to welcome the USS Porter in the Black sea and in the beautiful port of Batumi, which it is entering for the third time," the message reads.
The purpose of the visit is to develop the capabilities of NATO countries and partners to ensure security on the Black sea and strengthen regional stability, the diplomatic mission added. It is not specified how long the ship will stay in Georgia.
