Saudi Arabia Will Cancel The Curfew

Saudi Arabia will lift the curfew imposed because of the coronavirus, BBC News reported.

The curfew will be lifted on Sunday, but many restrictions will remain in place. The authorities have left in force a ban on travel abroad and pilgrimages.

It is not yet known whether the Hajj to Mecca will be allowed for Muslims from all over the world. It is due to take place at the end of July.

Some Muslim countries, including Malaysia and Indonesia, have banned their citizens from going on the Hajj this year. Usually, about 2.5 million Muslims visit Mecca during the Hajj.

According to Johns Hopkins University, almost 155 thousand coronavirus infections and 1.23 thousand deaths were registered in Saudi Arabia.
