The Patrol Route Of The Russian And Turkish Military In Idlib Province Doubled
The length of the Russian and Turkish military patrol routes along the section of the M4 highway in the Syrian province of Idlib has been doubled, according to the Russian center for the reconciliation of warring parties in Syria.
"In accordance with the agreements reached between the presidents of Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020, in Moscow, on May 5, the eighth joint Russian-Turkish patrol of the section of the M4 highway in the Idlib de-escalation zone linking the cities of Aleppo and Latakia took place. The length of the route was increased twice as much as the previous patrols, " the report says.
According to the Center, two BTR-82A armored personnel carriers and a Tiger armored car were involved in joint patrols from the Russian side. The movement of the joint Russian-Turkish column from the air was controlled by unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian air force. Interaction between the parties was organized through a joint coordination center.
The first joint Russian-Turkish patrol of a section of the M4 highway in the Idlib de-escalation zone took place on March 15, 2020.
