Trump Said He Was Happy To See Kim Jong-un Appear In Public
Donald Trump said on Saturday that he was happy to see North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in public and that everything was fine with him.
The American leader made a repost on his Twitter page of an entry assigned to the opening ceremony of the Suncheon fertilizer plant, which was attended by Kim Jong-un.
Earlier, the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) reported on the first appearance of the Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK in public in 20 days: he attended the opening ceremony of the Suncheon fertilizer plant on May 1. Later, photos from the event were also published.
The North Korean leader has not appeared in public since April 11, when he held a meeting of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) on domestic policy. In particular, Kim Jong-un did not attend the April 12 annual session of the Supreme people's Assembly (GNC), and for the first time in the years of his rule, did not participate in the ceremony at the Kymsusan Palace of the Sun, which was held on April 15 on the occasion of the 108th anniversary of the birth of Kim Il-Sung. The absence of Kim Jong-un in the ranks of the country's leadership on the main national holiday has given rise to rumors about the possible illness of the leader of the DPRK.
