When school bus rolls near Spring Lake High School, two people are injured, but no students, when school buses depart
SPRING LAKE, MI -- After crashing into a ditch with an SUV near Spring Lake High School, slain two adults but no students were injured.
The crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m. On Leonard Street at 148th Avenue, on Friday, September 24th, Leonard street is located at the end of the street.
When the driver of a southbound 2013 Ford Escape pulled out from 148th Avenue stop sign, Ottawa County Sheriffs deputies said the bus was going east on Leonard Street.
The two vehicles collided, and the bus ran off the road and rolled onto its side, striking a power pole.
A bus aide, a Fruitport resident, had injuries that were not considered life-threatening, not deemed life threatening.
The bus driver and six students on the bus were not injured, according to police.
The SUV driver, a Spring Lake man, who is 84 years old, was taken to an area hospital with severe injuries.
