After Gollum, Daedalic Entertainment may be working on the second Lord of the Rings game ...

Daedalic Entertainment may be developing a second game set in the Lord of the Rings universe following Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

According to a database of projects that are receiving a German government subsidy, Daedalic Entertainment might be developing a second game based on the Lord of the Rings universe. The new project will take the player into a lush world of mythical creatures and magic.

The unannounced Lord of the Rings game offers a character's perspective that has not been revealed previously. The player will discover completely new areas and, within their scope and abilities, affect the world's events in their own way.

This project is aimed at passionate fans of the fantasy, story-driven, and 3D action-adventure games genre. It will be funded for a total of 2,036,663 euros.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is a strategy video game developed by Daedalic Entertainment and published by Nacon. The game will be released on May 25, 2023, across multiple platforms, including Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game was originally planned for November 30, 2022, but was postponed until July 25, 2022 by Daedalic Entertainment.
