At the recent PlayStation Showcase, Sony reportedly halted several game announcements, including the one pertaining to a first-party game's PC adaptation.
According to well-known leaker, The Snitch, who appears to have access to private clips in the YouTube back-end, Sony had many game announcements planned for the recent PlayStation Showcase, including the announcement of a first-party game on PC. The console manufacturer decided not to reveal them for unknown reasons.
The leaker claims that they were aware of the aforementioned announcements in advance, and that not getting revealed at the PlayStation Showcase was "super super strange." They gave the example of a PC adaptation of a first-party game scheduled to be released in July, 2023, so that Sony may also have a strong presence at Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest event scheduled to begin next month on June 8, 2023.
Although the PlayStation Showcase may have been less informative than fans anticipated in terms of first-party games, there were no shortage of noteworthy announcements at the event, including the unveiling of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The Metal Gear Solid 3 remake will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The development team for both MGS Delta: Snake Eater and MGS Delta: Snake Eater thanked fans for their continued support. This remake will recreate the original narrative and gameplay of Snake while enhancing the gameplay with modern visuals and a seamless user experience.
