The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has two enormous new areas that make the world of Hyrule seem considerably larger than it has ever been. Eventually, you'll find your way into the darkened Depths, but eventually you'll want to return to the surface.

Without having to climb out of the Depths, you may get out of this horrible episode. To get back to the basics, follow these simple steps:

  • To access the map, select the minus sign (-).
  • To bring up the Surface map, press the D-pad’s Up button.
  • Using the left thumb stick, you can choose the teleportation point you want to visit.To verify, please click A.

Some parts of the Depths are truly accessible when you go to the surface. Due to how uncommon they are, you may lose yourself trying to locate one. Fast travel remains the most reliable method of avoiding the gaps.

They aren't only the most reliable way of re-entry into the caves, but their light can illuminate previously unexplored areas as well. They're huge luminous pillars that are easily visible from afar.

Lightroots are also useful for dissecting Link's corruption caused by the persistent Gloom.
