I discussed Synapse's dual-wielding gameplay that combines brutal firepower with expressive one-to-one telekinesis in a previous PS Blog post. Today, I'm thrilled to reveal the game's A-list cast of voice talents.
Before I get into the details, I'd like to share a sneak peek into the epic adventure ahead of you.
Be your adversary inside.
Synapse is set on the eve of a catastrophic global strike spearheaded by the evil Colonel Peter Conrad. Once a prominent black ops leader, the Colonel has since gone rogue and has become a dangerous new level as he re-emerges onto the global stage threatening Armageddon.
You play as a highly trained operative who is uniquely equipped to intercept information necessary to deter an attack. After activating a scanner connected to the Colonel, you're transported into the neuro-synaptic relay.
As you try to uncover the crucial information required to stop the launch of his biological weapon, you have no choice but to enter the Colonel's twisted mindscape.
Your Handler, Clara Sorensen, the director of the ultra-secretive Bureau V, will be your only connection to the outside world, guiding you through every layer of Colonel Conrad's twisted subconscious.
Meet the cast of The Lost Boys.
The Colonel and the Handler were always clear concepts to us, and we're so glad that both have agreed to lend their voices to the roles. So, let's introduce you to a few familiar faces...
Colonel Peter Conrad will play David Hayter.
Colonel Peter Conrad's voice is played by David Hayter (Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid), who is also a fantastic voice actor on one of our previous games. We believed that Colonel Conrad would fit into the legendary cast of characters that David has played.
Jennifer Hale will play Handler Clara Sorensen, who is a model.
Jennifer Hale has acted as your guiding voice through the Colonel's thoughts, as David eluded to. She has appeared in many well-known roles including Naomi Hunter in Metal Gear Solid, alongside David, as Commander Shepherd in the Mass Effect series and Rivet in Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
In the run-up to Synapse's release, more information will be available, but in the meantime, make sure you mark your calendars for July 4.
