Cecily begins investigating the charges against Father Zesta with Megumin and Yunyun's help in episode 8, which ends with the arrest of Chomosuke from the Axis Church.

Cecily is unconcerned about Father Zesta as she believes he will be enjoying the company of the female cop right now. She invites Yunyun and Megumin to accompany her in investigating the whole situation.
Cecily believes that there is a good possibility that the knights will discover some evidence when they test the water. It turns out that Zesta was mistaken for slime.
Cecily and Megumin are surprised when Yunyun reveals that the penalty for treason is actually execution. Interestingly, the police have lifted all charges against Father Zesta following his interrogation. They even apologized to him.
When Arnes suddenly appears in the city seeking for Chomosuke, Megumin forgets all of her worries. As a member of the Axis church, he must stand against a demon girl. Other members join him and make Arnes flee for her life.
KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World Episode 8 Finale: Is Megumin a Flying Man to Axel?
Yunyun and Megumin discuss their future plans after Father Zesta and other members of the Axis Church make Arnes flee for her life. Megumin reveals that she will travel to the city of Axel next due to an Explosion magic user. Yunyun is also planning to travel there as she does not have the funds for the trip.
Yunyun appears to have no exclusive plans; she wants to spend the next few days with Megumin. This will ensure that her intentions to visit Axel are compatible with those of Megumin. Father Zesta then sends her money to Megumin, who expresses his gratitude to her for everything she has done so far. He then reimburses her for the recruitment strategies she taught her.
Megumin was just thinking about finding some odd jobs to make money for the whole trip, and suddenly she had enough money to leave Arcanretia immediately. Father Zesta tells Megumin that she may go to Axel tomorrow and then relax. The following morning, she says her final goodbyes to the members of the Axis church. Yunyun follows her frenemy, and the two leave with ambitions to make a name for themselves in Axel.
