The Emperor Of Japan Marked One Year Since His Accession To The Throne
Emperor Naruhito of Japan celebrated exactly one year since taking office. This was reported on Friday by Japanese Public Television.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the monarch went to an inaccessible part of the Imperial Palace, where he will take part in a religious ceremony.
It is noted that due to the spread of a new coronavirus in Japan, no public events are planned in connection with the anniversary.
Emperor Naruhito took the throne on May 1 last year after his father voluntarily retired due to old age. On October 22, a ceremony was held in Tokyo to present the new Emperor to the country and the world, and numerous foreign guests were invited to it.
