Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Release Date Revealed
Samsung's next foldable smartphone will be released at the end of summer and will get an improved triple camera. This was stated on Twitter by analyst Ross young from the Agency Display Supply Chain Consultants.
One of the distinctive features of the device, which young calls the Galaxy Fold 2, will be a triple camera with modules with a resolution of 64, 12, and 16 megapixels. Thus, the 64-megapixel lens will replace one of the 12-megapixel ones used in the Galaxy Fold camera. Also, the camera of the opened flagship will receive double optical stabilization.
According to the analyst, the device will also get an enlarged main display, support for 5G, and s-Pen stylus. At the same time, due to the increase in production volumes, the Galaxy Fold 2 will cost about $100 less than the debut model. Ross young predicts its cost in the range of 1880-1895 dollars, or about 134 thousand rubles.
The new smartphone of the Galaxy Fold line will be presented in August. The expert is sure that Samsung will show the model at the presentation of the flagship Galaxy Note 20 device. In the comments, Ross young clarified that he could not now assess the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the production of Samsung equipment.
In mid-February, Samsung introduced a galaxy Z Flip smartphone with a clamshell-style case, a 6.7-inch screen, a Snapdragon 855+ chip, eight gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory, and a dual camera. The galaxy Fold folding device was presented at the end of February 2019, the cost of it started from $1,980.
