In Zeeland Township, a Zeerlund Township sign manufacturing facility has been built with utmost attention for the company
In Zeeland Township, near the corner of 80th Avenue and Felch Street, a new $1.2 million sign maker is building ten new facilities in Zeerlund Township.
The building will be home to the company's new headquarters in late July, according to Kelsey Sivertson, a spokesperson for Lakeshore Advantage, an economic development firm serving Ottawa and Allegan counties.
The new building will be located at 2939 80th Ave.
According to a news release, Lakeshore Advantage connected USA Sign Frame & Stake, which is currently located in Georgetown Township, with funds to support the project. As a result of the expansion, the firm expects to add six jobs over the next two years, providing it with the flexibility to expand its manufacturing and operation departments.
"The manufacturing accounts for nearly 40% of our region's Gross Domestic Product, and more than one out of four jobs in our area is in manufacturing," Jennifer Owens, president of Lakeshore Advantage, stated in a statement. USA Sign Frame & Stake is a partner of the United States that helps our community through their desire to grow in West Michigan, and we are delighted to support them through the expansion process.
USA Sign Frame and Stake is a manufactured company that provides recycled plastic sign frames to small mom-and-pop shops and large distributorships worldwide.
We are honored to be a competitive employer and we're looking forward to continuing our expansion in the Zeeland area with our dedicated team, committed to delivering unparalleled service to our customers and continuing to grow the job market in our area, Brian Kronemeyer, the company's president and owner, said in opportunity in an statement.
The firm received a 12-year tax break from Zeeland Township as part of its expansion. Thursday afternoon, Township Supervisor Tom Oonk could not be reached immediately to assess the tax exemption.
