The Pure Michigan Autumn IPA is now available outside of the state for first time
Pure Michigan and Shorts Brewing Company are celebrating the beginning of fall in very Michigan fashion.
With a beer, you'll get it.
This is the third year in a row that Pure Michigan Autumn IPA is being released. The beer is made of 100% Michigan-grown and harvested ingredients and is a roast to the states soaring colors, scenic landscapes, agricultural bounty, and nationally recognized craft beer industry.
Pure Michigan Autumn IPA will be available in markets throughout the Midwest, including Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin, as well as Colorado for the first time. It will continue to be available to retailers, restaurants, bars, and pubs in Michigan.
There are endless possibilities to experience the state of Michigan at this special time of year, according to Dave Lorenz, vice president of Travel Michigan, a member of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
Were delighted with this ongoing partnership with Shorts Brewing Company because itll give us the opportunity to highlight our state craft brewery heritage, the bountiful harvest season we all enjoy, and it now offers another opportunity for our friends and neighbors at Short's and throughout the Midwest in hopes of getting a beer together again soon.
Shorts Brewing Company partnered with Michigan maltsters Empire Malting Company, Great Lakes Maling Company and Valley View Farms, as well as hops from MI Local Hops and Hop Alliance, to look for ingredients from the state's diverse agricultural industry.
Shorts describes the Pure Michigan Autumn IPA as a well-balanced brew that allows the malt, hops, and yeast character to shine through. Smooth hop flavors combine with fruity esters, along with a blend of pine, citrus, and honey-like malt sweetness.
We are so proud of this beer, and our collaborations with producers in Northern Michigan are vital to highlighting the quality and flavor of their ingredients, as well as the splendor of our region, said Joe Short, founder of Shorts Brewing Company.
"This beer embodies the feeling of a crisp fall hike when the leaves begin to change, and the incredible sunsets when it's in its full-fiction glory," we hope it brings drinkers around the region to rebirth that is Pure Michigan.
This year, Pure Michigan Autumn IPA is also available in cans decorated with seasonal imagery to commemorate the fall in Michigan. It will be available from now on until the end of October.
This made-in-Michigan beer will be available in Meijer and Kroger, which will have in-store displays, as well as Buschs, D&W Fresh Market, VG's Food Center, and many independent retailers.
Shortsbrewing.com and michigan.org/breweries have an interactive map highlighting all locations where to find and purchase the beer.
