The Turkish Defense Ministry Reported The Death Of 35 People As A Result Of An Explosion In The Syrian City Of Afrin
The number of victims of the explosion in the Syrian city of Afrin has reached 35 people. This was reported on Tuesday by the Ministry of national defense of Turkey.
"Victims of the organized PKK and SNS the terrorist attack in the Syrian city of Afrin was at least 35 civilians, more than 30 were injured," the communique claims.
The defense Ministry said that the source of the explosion was a tanker loaded with explosives.
Earlier, Sky News Arabia reported 30 victims of the incident.
Afrin, inhabited by Kurds, is located 65 km West of Aleppo. It was occupied by Turkish troops in March 2018 as part of the operation Olive branch against Kurdish forces.
