Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos is a major mod for Gothic 2, which is essentially a standalone game that tells a story set on the island of Archolos. The mod's creators have released a new trailer for a major update, which, on the one hand, appears to be an April Fool's joke.
The developers made it clear that significant changes would be made. Version 2.0 was released with a hardcore mode. Today we see their teaser. The only issue is what is true and what is not.
On the other hand, there is a lot of content that took a long time to create, too much for a joke. We have character customization, new locations, items, and bug fixes, all of which are wonderful, with the exception of a few things:
This video was released today, April 1st; this version of the game will be dubbed the "mod edition of the decade" and will only be released on the Switch, which is a known joke.
Everything is likely to be true here, except for the Switch announcement. But who knows?
