Apple Airpods wireless headphones were recreated by an enthusiast. A USB-C connector was added to them to charge batteries from any power supply, not just from a regular case.

Ken Pillonel, a hardware prototyping engineer and microelectronics enthusiast, explains how he wired and wired a USB-C connector to a set of AirPods without the need for a charging case in a video.

All versions of AirPods and AirPods Pro received a zero out of ten rating for repairability. These gadgets are not intended to be serviced or repaired due to the fact that the internal components cannot be replaced without damaging the device.

The aim of adding wires to AirPods is to increase user awareness of these maintenance issues, urging consumers to consider purchasing a pair of wired headphones that do not require consumables rather than Apple's wireless product.
