The Studio Wildcard team has announced the creation of a remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, which will have the Survival Ascended prefix to the title. The game will be developed for Unreal Engine 5, which will include many of the latest technologies, such as ray tracing.
The developers are planning to release an updated version of the game in August of this year on computers and consoles of the current generation. The servers of the current version of the game will be closed.
The original Island will be remastered along with various non-canon maps. The PS5 version will cost around $40.
The studio has stated that ARK 2 will not be released this year. It is quite probable that it will only be released in a year. The developers will not be able to show new screenshots or videos of the game in the next few months. According to them, it took them substantially longer to learn a new engine.
