Martin Scorsese's new film Killers of the Flower Moon lasts four hours ...

The very phrase "what is good if brief, is twice as good" used in today's Hollywood is a joke, because directors nowadays seem intent on putting their viewers' bladder capacities to the test. Well, few are the movies that are less than two hours long. And then there's Martin Scorsese...

Killers of the Flower Moon, a new film by the veteran director for Apple TV+, will last 240 minutes, or four hours in total. Fortunately, he has brought together a whole cast of actors to keep us entertained, since this time, Robert De Niro and Leonardo Dicaprio are on the verge of becoming directors.

Killers of the Flower Moon will make its world debut on May 20 during the celebrations of the famous Cannes Film Festival. This is a remarkable comeback for Scorsese, who has not returned to the French city since he won the Palme d'Or for Best Director in 1986!

After reaching a distribution agreement with Paramount, it has not been clarified if the tape will be in the competition or it will only be its world premiere, as it was done last year in Top Gun: Maverick.

What is the history of Killers of the Flower Moon?

Killers of the Flower Moon, based on a biography by David Granns, chronicles the lives of a few FBI investigators who are attempting to uncover the truth about the brutal serial killings of many Native Americans in Oklahoma, while neglecting that they will also uncover some of their own organizations' dark secrets.

Martin Scorsese's next film will be released in its entirety on October 6, with its four-hour runtime, or if there will be a smaller version for the big screen, which will only be available on Apple TV+ starting October 20.
