Snowfall's series finale on FX is expected to be continued. According to Deadline, a new lead character is in the works. Gail Bean is expected to reprise her role as Wanda in the upcoming series.
Wanda hid behind a hospital stay and continues to work odd jobs to stay fit.
There is no confirmation yet that any other characters from the original will be included in the spinoff.
Snowfall's sixth and final season focuses on Franklin Saint (Damson Idris), a young drug lord who lived in Los Angeles during the crack epidemic in the 1980s.
According to the outlet, the story continues in the 1990s Los Angeles as South Central switches out of the crack era into the gangster rap era. Other central characters would be introduced as well.
Returning executive producers would be Dave Andron, Trevor Engelson, Michael London, and Tommy Schlamme. Malcolm Spellman will serve as executive producer and writer of the pilot. John Singleton (posthumously) and Eric Amadio, as well as its producer Evan Silverberg, are also expected to be given credit.
