Subscription to Xbox Game Pass isn't a disruptive business model, according to the company ...

Chris Charla of ID at Xbox has no concerns that the Xbox Game Pass subscription might disrupt the business model.

Chris Charla has been the head of Xbox, Microsoft's self-publishing program since 2013. He assisted numerous independent developers in bringing their indie gems to Xbox.

In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, he talked about the program, but also about the Xbox Game Pass, with which many of these games will be released.

He has no concerns that the Xbox Game Pass business model will disrupt the gaming industry, and the Xbox data would not reflect that either. People would continue to purchase thousands of games.

In the future, games will also be available as disc versions through the Xbox ID program. Here's how it's going to work.
