Marion "Suge" Knight's biopic will be released this summer. According to TMZ, the untitled limited series will "delve deeper into his infamous timeline than anyone else" and it reportedly has a "similar feel" to BMF.
Knight made a deal with producer Steve Whitney and TSW films to sign over his life rights in 2021. "Over the last 30 years, there has been so much discussion about Compton, me, the inner cities, and Death Row," according to Deadline. Even when it comes to making my film, there have been so many imposters saying they have my rights or they got the deal. That was, and is, all talk."
“I jumped off the porch in my neighborhood at a young age but never forgot where I came from.” He continued: “I made it and tried to attract as many people to the hills as I could to make sure I was successful.”

Knight is currently serving a 28-year prison term for the 2015 killing of Terry Carter. TMZ reports that he has been "very hands-on" during the casting process and in the selection of a director.
