Many fans have expressed their rage against sports betting which is becoming legal across the country. Bradley Beal is being investigated after a physical altercation with a fan who berated him for causing his bet to be ruined.
After the Washington Wizards' game against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday (March 21), ESPN received police papers that stated that the three-time All-Star was brought to the locker room by an unidentified man, who yelled, "You cost me $1,300, you f**k," and forced him to turn around and walk back out of the visitors' tunnel.
“I don’t give a f**k about none of your bets or your parlays,” Beal said.
Video footage shows the man apologizing to the former Florida Gator, claiming that he did not intend to be offensive. According to the complaint, Beal could be charged with simple battery, and charges will be filed with the state attorney's office. NBA spokesman Mike Bass confirmed that the league is aware of the incident and is investigating.
With only seven games remaining to play this season, the Washington Wizards are currently the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.
