Chlöe was the first guest on Latto's new Apple Music 1 program, 777 Radio, and the singer of In Pieces never resisted.
The 24-year-old explained how fans project her and her younger sister, Halle Bailey, as if they are competing against each other.
Chlöe admits that she's irritated by comparison. We're best friends, we're sisters. Sometimes we forget that we're not twins and it's like, don't mess with my blood. Don't mess with her.'
The Praise This actress continued, "Sometimes I just have to brush it off because people only see what they want to make up, what they want to believe, and it's like, sometimes I don't need to give off that energy and spend my time explaining something that I know isn't true."
Chloe and Halle met on a TV show called The Little Mermaid, which will be released this May. They had three studio albums together and decided to pursue solo careers in January 2021.
The Swarm star talked about her struggle to become a child star later in the conversation, and how she really empathizes with criticism.
"It's like, if I do something, it's forced, it's contrived." Chlöe added that in the end, it's because they've grown up with me. "When I perform, I'm feeling the most confident and sexy. That's what drives me."
The whole first episode of 777 Radio will be available on Apple Music 1 biweekly on Thursdays at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
