MultiVersus, a fighting game, was released last year as open testing. The game managed to attract 20 million players in a month in early access, after which the developers began to release new content for it as part of seasonal updates, while the project itself continued to exist in the test version. Recently, the game's popularity has decreased dramatically.
MultiVersus' developers have announced that the game would be phased out on April 4, including from the Microsoft Store on Xbox. All network functions in the game will be turned off on June 25, while the game will still be playable when installed on the console.
For the time being, the developers explained why they would shut MultiVersus down:
