Yesterday, Nintendo's 3DS and Wii U eShops stopped accepting new purchases or free downloads of games, such as demos. However, users may still redeem codes on both stores following a deadline extension.
Nintendo made a mistake and put the feature on hold.
Nintendo has extended the code redemption deadline to April 4th, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. Japan time. This gives players a few more days to use any codes they may have lying around. In the United Kingdom, it is 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. in Europe.
Nintendo is now offering two additional 3DS themes for free. The Dots & Stripes: Yellow & White and Stars: Gold & Black themes were previously priced at $0.99, but are now available for free.
