Hylians, rejoice! Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been certified (meaning development is completed and the game is ready for distribution) and will be released on May 12.

According to series producer Eiji Aonuma, Zelda enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of its sequel Six years after the release of Breath of the Wild.
Aonuma also played through over 10 minutes of the game today to demonstrate Link's powerful new Recall, Fuse, Ascend, and Ultrahand abilities, as well as Nintendo unveiling a special Tears of the Kingdom-themed Switch OLED as well as a Pro Controller and carrying case.
Tears of the Kingdom will be released on Nintendo Switch this month, according to the Legend of Zelda.
