Once the player activates the circuit breaker lever, the boss fight against Verdugo, an extremely large monster with extremely thick skin, begins. You may kill this foe by repeatedly paralyzing it with liquid nitrogen before shooting it to death (you may have to do this more than once).
The only real disadvantage to the rocket launcher strategy is that the weapon costs 80,000 Pesetas and has a limited supply of ammunition. However, you may use liquid nitrogen to freeze it and slowly assault it with the weapons at your disposal.

After defeating the formidable adversary, you will be able to reclaim a valuable item from its body and receive the Wave Goodbye, Right Hand achievement/trophy. You may also choose to escape from your opponent by waiting for the elevator, at which moment you'll see a cutscene depicting its arrival.
