Overworks' JRPG Skies of Arcadia is getting a makeover. The source of the information came from the XboxEra podcast, which airs Sunday night.
Skies of Arcadia, which was first released in 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast, was a game about exploring the world. You played as a pilot named Weiss, who, along with his buddies, is attempting to prevent the Vuluan Empire from acquiring an ancient weapon to destroy the world.
Traditional JRPG gameplay is emphasized, as well as turn-based combat and experience points to level up characters. Research, as the name suggests, takes place on foot and by airplane.
In 2002, the Dreamcast was released on the Nintendo GameCube.
There is a possibility of a screenshot of the remix, but there is little evidence that this is 100% accurate.
In the podcast, there was nothing further about a possible remaster.
