On the set of Lord of the Rings games, a horse died ...

The actors were not hurt, and the series' filming had soon resumed.

One of the horses who were involved in crowd scenes died on the set of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, according to sources. The incident occurred before filming a large-scale action scene or during filming.

The horse was killed during pre-production, before rehearsals began. An autopsy revealed that the animal died of cardiac disease.

During filming, Daily Mail sources claim that the animal died just as the film was shot.

The Devil's Horsemen, a company that specializes in filming animal scenes, provided the horses for the series' filming. According to Deadline, this is the first death of a The Devil's Horsemen animal in 50 years.

PETA, an animal welfare organization, criticized the killing of a horse on the set of The Lord of the Rings. The creators of the series should have used CGI rather than real horses.

Shortly after the incident, filming for the second season of Rings of Power resumed. The first season will be released in 2024.

This is an interesting story.
