According to numerous statements and regulatory documents, the Xbox team was prepared to offer Sony a 10-year deal for Call of Duty, if Microsoft can complete the acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Microsoft has made a 10-year proposal to release Call of Duty on the Playstation in letters to the CMA regulator (UK). The Xbox team is confident that Sony will be able to create an alternative to the popular shooter in ten years:
Microsoft claims that it does not see any reason to extend Call of Duty licenses beyond ten years.
