The AnimeJapan 2023 anime Rurouni Kenshin unveiled a new teaser earlier today. LIDEN FILMS is animating the reboot of the anime, which will be directed by Hideo Yamamoto. A new key visual came out three days ago.
Aoshi Shinomori and Megumi Takani join the cast of Yuma Uchida and Saori Onishi.
Kenshin Himura and Kaoru Kamiya are playing the main duo, soma Saito and Rie Takahashi. Terumi Niishi is the one who draws the characters, while Hideyuki Karuta is the one who composes the music. The first trailer for the anime was released in September.
The sequel to Rurouni Kenshin: The Hokkaido Arc, was launched in 2017 after Nobuhiro Watsuki was accused of possessing explicit materials involving children.
The film adaptation, which ran from 1996 to 1999, was animated by Gallop and Studio DEEN. There are also numerous manga side stories and OVAs, as well as a film. The first one was released in 2012, while the latest was released in 2021.
The manga has been licensed by Viz Media in English, and the narrative is described as follows: "At the advent of the American "Black Ships," a warrior felling men with his bloodstained blade gained the nickname Hitokiri, manslayer!" His killer blade helped bring the Bakumatsu era to a halt, and ended the progressive age known as Meiji. His disappearance continued, and he became a legend over the years.
