The Lake is a Canadian comedy television series created for Amazon Prime Video. It is the first scripted Canadian Amazon Original series to be released on June 17, 2022.
Julian Doucet, Michael Souther, Teza Lawrence, and Paul Fox are the executive producers of the series. The series will be renewed for a second season in July 2022.
The Lake Season 2 is set to be released later this year.

Plot and Cast of Season 2 of The Lake
Justin is openly gay and wants to connect with his teenage daughter, Maisey-May, whom he abandoned for adoption long ago. The cottage is a dream home for Justin, who is so obsessed with it that he won't let it go.
Justin realizes that Maisy will not be able to inherit the house until he dies. He devises another approach and blasts Maisey with the fact that the cottage is not up to code. She invites Riley, knowing that a cute guy will distract Justin from the upgrades. The pairing will be a battle between the two.
Justin, a gay man who is returning to his hometown to reconnect with his family, is played by Jordan Gavaris. Julie Stiles is played as Justin's perfect step-sister, while Madison Shamoun is played Billie, Justin's city-loving teenage daughter, whom he had given up for adoption.
