The Peripheral, a science fiction streaming television series created by Scott Smith, is based on William Gibson's 2014 book of the same name. Smith is also the executive producer of the series alongside Athena Wickham, Steve Hoban, Greg Plageman, Jonathan Nolan, and Lisa Joy. The first season of the series will air in 2022.

Plot and Cast of the Peripheral

Burton is a Marine Corps vet who is hired for a security position that is supposed to take place in cyberspace. His sister, Flynne, takes over temporarily and witnesses something that could be a murder. She receives a call from the future that may transform everything she experiences.

Eli Goree as Conner, Charlotte Riley as Aelita, JJ Feild as Lev, Adelind Horan as Billy Ann Baker, T'Nia Miller as Cherise, and Alex Hernandez as Tommy Constantine are all on the list.

Louis Herthum will play Corbell Pickett, Chris Coy as Jasper, Melinda Page Hamilton as Ella, Katie Leung as Ash, and Austin Rising as Leon.

The first season of the series was released on Amazon Prime Video on October 21, 2022, while the series was renewed for a second season in February 2023. There is no specific release date for the upcoming season as yet.

The second season is expected to have the same amount of episodes as the previous season, although the creators haven't made an official announcement yet.
