Capcom has confirmed that the Mercenaries mode will be available on April 7 as part of a free DLC package for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
The Mercenaries mode is an arcade-style gameplay mode that involves going through various stages from in-game locations and finishing a score attack mode with hordes of enemies attacking the player. The cover art for the update features Leon, although it is unclear if other playable characters will be included.
The free version of Resident Evil 4 Remake included Separate Ways and Mercenaries, while Separate Ways is claimed to be paid DLC that will allow players to play the game from the perspective of Ada Wong.
Capcom has not provided any information on Resident Evil 4 Remake's post-launch support. However, the game's demo encountered some issues, including blurry visuals on the PS5 version and deadzone issues on the Xbox Series version. These issues will not be resolved until the game is officially released on all platforms.
There are costumes for each platform available, as well as pre-order bonuses, so there's no need to worry about losing out on them long-term.
The Resident Evil 4 Remake is currently available on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series computers.
