The Xbox team announced the massive success of the ID@Xbox independent development program, which has already delivered more than 3,000 games in 10 years on Xbox. A large number of developers who are part of ID@Xbox are interested in releasing their projects on a Game Pass subscription. However, there are a few difficulties that make this process difficult.
Microsoft states that ID@Xbox has grown significantly in the last few years, and that many of the content creators want to be included in Game Pass. Right now, program representatives are unable to see each developer by sight, making it difficult for some studios and game creators to share their ideas, concepts, and plans with Xbox representatives.
In April, the Xbox team announced that it would release new "templates" to developers that will allow them to submit their concept for consideration by "key decision makers from the Game Pass teams, Business Development, and ID@Xbox."
