Due to a drop in demand for services, Logitech had to slash 300 employees ...

Logitech, a manufacturer of computer accessories and peripherals, has been one of the first victims of the epidemic as the trend to work from home en masse has dramatically increased demand for webcams, headsets, mice, and keyboards. As sanitary restrictions relaxed, the trend reversed, and the business is now losing 300 employees.

Logitech lost 8,200 employees in March of last year, but in general, such measures reflect the industry's situation. Both software and e-commerce companies, including manufacturers of PCs and components for them, are forced to reduce personnel. Apple stands apart, although it does not necessarily improve the situation during the epidemic.

Logitech recorded a $22 percent decline in revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2023, according to management. The company's chief financial officer (Charles Boynton) has also announced that it would reduce its revenue forecast for the entire fiscal year.
