The first Gothic remake, previously known to be on PC, will be officially presented in August 2022. The project does not yet have a release date, but the developers have announced the release date.
Alkimia Interactive representatives told German journalists from Der Standard that they intend to release a remake of the first Gothic in 2024. These are preliminary ideas at the moment, and are subject to change, but they may indicate the status of the game's remake at this point.
The original Gothic was a relatively short role-playing game, while the remake will be longer, according to Alkimia Interactive's authors. They'll also change the musical accompaniment in the remake.
